congratulation to Kora

Last year we had a student from Massey University, New Zealand, her name is Kora. She came to CFI to do her final year placement major in Social Work. There was a three months period for Kora to work with Education Advocacy and Social Work teams to develop several areas. This included writing a research report on student absenteeism, exploring how this contributed to students’ non-attendance, and what preventative approaches could support children to stay in school.

We wrote an article about Kora’s placement given how challenged it was because of the start of COVID-19, you can read this here: https://bit.ly/3gSWBlT

Recently, we had great news from Kora that she won a national Quality and Innovation award – Social Work Education, Student Social Worker, an annual award sponsored by Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW).

We want to say congratulations to Kora for her amazing work and effort that she put in this work to help develop a better support system for our team to help the children. Well done!
