The importance of clean water and personal hygiene!

On February 23rd, the WATERSAFE team visited CFI to implement a water and sanitation training for 85 children and families in the community.

The project aimed to educate women and girls about water and hand washing, the importance of clean water and sanitation as well as the impact and interaction between clean water and their lives, community, education, economy, and country. They also provided water filters for families to install on their taps, water bottles, and school supplies for the children.

At the end of the training, everyone was happy and gained more knowledge about how clean water is important for themselves and their families.

A huge thank you to the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the Department of State, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative, WATERSAFE , and the YOUnified Initiative for sharing this topic with our children and families in the Ek Phnom community.

We also wanted to extend our gratitude to Jan Pilcher for helping make the connection with the WATERSAFE team!
